What is Ortho-Bionomy?

Ortho-Bionomy is a gentle, non-invasive bodywork therapy that's helpful for many pain and stress conditions. Developed by Canadian osteopath Dr Arthur Lincoln Pauls in the 1970s, Ortho-Bionomy is designed to support the body's self-correcting capacity through the use of gentle positioning and subtle movements. Ortho-Bionomy offers long-lasting changes by re-educating the body to effectively maintain balance and optimal functioning on its own. Based on the principle that the body is an intelligent self-regulating and self-healing system, this approach uses no force manipulations, painful techniques or deep pressure. Self-care techniques are given to improve progress between sessions and allow clients to participate in their healing process.

After receiving Ortho-Bionomy sessions, clients report experiencing pain relief, deep relaxation, increased range and ease of movement, feelings of ease and lightness throughout the body, improved postural balance, faster recovery times from injuries, a sense of self-empowerment, increased vitality and emotional balance, and an increased sense of wellbeing.
